Andrea (Andi) Renner Ipaktchi

(Born on February 18th and flirting with 40) is an American artist and cartoonist. She grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut, the fourth of five children to an investigative religious news journalist and a US Post Office union leader. Her earliest cartoons appeared in Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese language newspaper in New York City. Her cartoon strip about an American expat living in Europe is called April in Paris. In 2007, The Paris Opera Ballet’s association commissioned her to create a pop-up invitation for the Gala benefit production of The Nutcracker. She publishes her illustrations in the UK, USA and France and also enjoys portrait commissions.

	She resides in France with her husband Mohsen Ipaktchi and their two sons.
